We celebrate God by involving both the mind and spirit in the worship experience. Our Sunday service gives each of us the opportunity to explore our faith and personally connect with God. We continually use new and creative forms of worship, while at the same time remaining true to our central Christian beliefs and biblical values. By blending Biblical traditions with contemporary technology our "best of the best" approach enables people of all ages and backgrounds to experience God's love.
These are the core values that guide our worship service:
Music Worship Principle #1 "O sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. " (Psalm 96:1) Music engages the heart and mind during worship. At Catching Life our worship band provides innovative and energizing Christian music (including Hillsong from Australia, and the CA Worship Band from California). During worship, we use music as a primary means for making a personal connection with Jesus. Singing and praising the Lord strengthens our faith connection and creates a rich worship experience. Keeping the music fresh helps us to stay current with the new things God is doing in churches around the world. Come experience it for yourself!
Multimedia Worship Principle #2 "I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some." (1st Corinthians 9:22) In our quest to utilize the most innovative and effective methods for communicating Christ's message, we incorporate multimedia into our worship service. The service flow, prayers, and song lyrics are all projected onto the movie screen. No more lengthy church bulletins or awkward hymnals. Freeing our hands and engaging our mind enables us to actively participate in the service. At Catching Life we want to remove every barrier between you and a great worship experience!
Prayer Worship Principle #3 "My house shall be called a house of prayer." (Matthew 21:13) We seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit by undergirding our Sunday service with prayer. Prayer allows us to reflect on our faith and strengthen our connection with Jesus. Special time is devoted during our service to individual and group prayer. Come pray with us and make a connection that will last forever!
Flow Worship Principle #4 "The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth." (John 4:24) At Catching Life we pay great attention to the order and structure of our service. Our Sunday worship blends traditional scripture and ritual, with innovative music and cutting-edge multimedia. Using this format allows us to honor tradition while at the same time remaining open to the spontaneity and synergy of contemporary worship.
Learning Worship Principle #5 "Give me understanding that I may learn your commandments." (Psalm 119:73) Each week our pastoral team prepares a message for us. They search the Scriptures for truth and spiritual wisdom. Their investigations are then skillfully crafted into a multimedia presentation and shared with the congregation. These teachings represent our "best of best" belief. They are rooted in scripture, but are delivered using modern technology and in a language easy to understand. This enables us to easily relate to God's word.
Communion Worship Principle #6 "They broke bread... praising God and having the goodwill of all the people." (Acts 2:46-47) The New Testament says that the first Christians "broke bread" when they gathered for worship, and so we continue this practice during our Sunday service. The taking of the communion meal is a central ritual of our Christian faith. Communion is offered every Sunday. All Christians of any kind are welcome. The bread reminds us of Jesus' body given for us. The cup reminds us of Jesus' blood shed for the forgiveness of our sins. During the communion time people come forward to a communion station, tear off a piece of the communion bread and dip it in the cup. If you are not ready to receive communion, no pressure. |
